Prior to reinstalling the unit front cover, verify that the pump will function properly.
1. Tape the pump float switch in the up position.
2. Power the unit on and wait for a minimum of 2 minutes with the float switch in the up position.
If the unit shuts off and the control panel displays an “ER9” error message the pump was wired correctly.
If the pump in the unit does not have a pump float switch, refer to DrizAir 1200 Reinstalling Control Panel and Testing Pump and use this alternative test:

If the “ER9” error message is not displayed, wiring changes may be needed.
1. Disconnect power to the unit.
2. If the ER9 error test was successful, remove the tape holding the float switch so that it returns to its original location.
3. If the pump does not have a float switch, remove the clamp that is pinching the drain hose.
4. Disconnect power to the unit to clear the error message and skip to Reassembling the Evolution.
If the ER9 error test was not successful, disconnect power and repeat the steps to remove the electrical box cover and to access the control panel wiring.
Verify the control panel wiring is correct by referencing the Evolution Wiring Diagram. Rewire as needed and repeat the pump functionality test after attaching the control panel and electrical box cover.
If the pump functions properly, remove the tape holding the float switch up or remove the hose pinching the drain hose and reassemble the unit as identified on the following page.
If the pump still does not function properly, contact Legend Brands Service at 800-932-3030.
